I don't know about the ACE but most coaches have a transfer switch in the compartment where the power cord comes in that switches between shore power and generator. If you can find room, this is the place to install your surge protector. Disconnect the power cord from the transfer switch and attach it to the input of the surge protector. Then run another short power cord from the output of the surge protector to where the power cord was connected in the transfer switch.
