I prefer the PI units and have the HW50C. Better protection and warranty than SG. I did have to buy a longer cable for the remote to mount it inside on the current rig. $1.96 delivered as I recall. Make sure it's a data cable and NOT the standard phone cable.
BTW These units are "power protectors" vs the simpler surge only protectors.
