Yes it would not fit into today's day & age, but I have seen them on rare occasion on older rigs. I've seen shallow units that don't hang out the back so much, less gaudy looking. I don't know how effective they are, but I would think adequate for a rear bedroom. Of coarse the right (and most expensive) solution is to add a second roof-top a/c unit. But his rig is a 1993, 21 years old.
