My slideout gasket has totally come off. A dealer here in town said I could order it and replace it myself. However, another auto body shop that works on my MH quoted me $500 to order and replace the ...

Not sure which gasket you are referring to but we replaced the gasket that runs along the bottom edge of the slide out. Simply sent a picture of the old gasket to the RV dealer so they could order the correct one. It was easy to install, although it was kinda awkward to do. Make sure you measure how much you will need because it's expensive.
