I use an adjustable tie bar, like those used to cinch down a pick up
camper to the box. I have eyelets in my truck frame and cinch it tight to the side rails of the trailer. i leave the truck in neutral so it doesn't ram rod on the transmission in park while i drive. It works great. I use a ratcheting "come along" as a back up.
