Having a problem towing a car on a trailer?

Thank-you for all the explanations and suggestions. I am now thinking that those so called "heavy" straps that I have, may in fact be stretching. I'm going to look for better quality straps.


I also like the suggestion of running the straps over the tire and cinching down the ratchets until it starts to compress the tires. It sounds like that would keep the straps tight even if they did stretch a bit.
