I've said about this same thing a few times in past posts ... except slightly modified from the above ... as follows:
"Combine this with a nicely built-in (so it's quiet and vibration-free) generator fed from the main engine's large fuel tank (55 gallons for later Ford chassis and 57 gallons for later Chevy chassis), and one can completely shut off, or not use for other reasons, the propane subsystem during short camping trips, but keep the fridge, water heater, and heat going."
