HELP - House batteries dead

We have neglected our coach the past several months and now our house batteries are dead and the engine batteries are low.

We had planned on replacing them but in the process of trying to start the coach today, we tried using the battery boost and it blew up a house battery.

So...We are in Florida, it's hot and we won't have any AC

Our batteries are on a slide out tray so should be easy to remove.

Can anybody tell me if its safe for hubby to replace the batteries or should we contact a professional? Keep in mind, our coach won't start.

We have an inverter

Our MH is a 2003 Monaco Windsor Diesel
  • With risk comes reward and with a bit of planning you can minimize risk. Don't be too overwhelmed with a potential coach repair. A bit of internet search and asking questions can turn a job that seems along the lines of removing the chassis engine to sometime more like filling up with fuel.

Now that the batteries are good to go time to get up on the roof reworking the seals to prevent water leaks.
