Have the same problem, closet's carpet covered fiberglass hatch has 2 screws under the washer/dryer platform, 2 inside a plumbing chase and 2 in the open. Need to change the Splendide out soon due to failing drive bearing that is obsolete, will modify the hatch to a two piece at that point, so we can access all but the last 4". If the radiator needs to be removed out the top, out will come the washer/dryer and the last 4" of the hatch. I can lift the hatches on our Phaeton with a Stanley Mini-Wonder Bar, under the edge. This is a Freightliner Custom Chassis XC series.
