I just bought from Cruise America a few months back. I got them down $1500 from the asking price. I got a 2008 for $19450. 124,500 miles. Great shape! It's a 23A. Tons of recently replaced parts inside and out.
I also spent 8 hours with a check list asking them to repair or replace many things. They agreed and they were friendly about it. I got new tires, new battery, sway bar, front end alignment, new beds, and much more. I had 42 items on my list and they didn't complain. DON'T DRIVE AWAY UNTIL EVERYTHING WRONG WITH IT IS ADDRESSED no matter how small and you will likely be happy. THIS is how you get a good deal from Cruise America/Canada because the price won't change much. My check list was probably close to $5000 in parts and labor for them. The kicker is they even let me return it to replace and fix a few more things after my first few trips 2 months later.
Also consider buying the extended warranties because nobody else will usually touch RV's with that many miles when it comes to buying third party RV's. Some of their RV's have almost 200,000 miles! Skip the warranties if are handy and or are or know a cheap mechanic. Of course, here in America they come with a 1 year warranty and a 90 day gaurantee to fix anything that goes wrong.
I agree. They seem to ask more for the smaller RV's. Not sure why that is.
No, I don't think they will consider your offer from my experience. They sell them quickly because people like you and I get sick of looking at over priced used******from private sellers. Man did I see some junk over two years of looking. And the crazy asking prices from some folks was insane!!! They (Cruise America) aren't motivated sellers but they are nice. If you are nice with them they will respond better.
In the end, every RV purchase is a gamble. Even a new purchase.
GOOD LUCK!!!
