Well ours was already equipped with a foot pedal parking brake. If you don't have one then that certainly complicates things. For me it was just a matter of disconnecting the cable from the autopark. It connects to a mechanism where the foot brake also connected so either one could engage the brake. Our chassis manual had instructions on how to disconnect the autopark should it fail and leave you stuck. The autopark cable and foot pedal cable meet roughly under the drivers feet or seat.
