The computer may have simlply died, it does ocasionally happen. My last new car was only a couple months old when the engine shut off while I was going 60 down the highway. This is highly unusual in of itself because most of the time when electronics fail it is after being turned off and attemped to turn back on. Anyway, all the accessories worked but the engine would not start. The dealership told me they had never seen one fail in that manner. Lucky Me! But considering how many millions of those modules are produced, there are going to be a few that just fail.
