Help...Privacy Curtains
I just picked up a 3010 Class C Sunseeker and the privacy curtains that come with it are terrible. Two velcrox pieces to hold the entire curtain up. What are you all using instead? Thanks for all the help.

- Our 2014 Sunseeker has 8 Velwashers (the velcro dots mentioned earlier) which run around the cutout above the cab. If you want to string the curtain straight across the back of the cab instead of following the cutout, you would only have two velwashers, one on each end. I don't know if this matches Bednarski's setup or not.
We bought an inexpensive quilted twin bedspread at Ikea for $29.99, IIRC. DW is going to make a curtain that attaches same as stock, but goes to the floor, and is a better insulator. We did that on our last little MH. - Snaps work really well, and won't degrade over time like Velcro.
We had to replace our curtain after years of child abuse, and it was pretty easy. Replacement snaps were available at a fabric store, along with the tool to seat them into the new fabric. Took me longer to measure out the spacing than it did to fit them into place... Just don't skip adding some good webbing along the edge where the snaps go. That's what ultimately takes all the abuse.
I like the shower curtain idea, but that seems like just one more thing to have to store and/or have come crashing down in our earthquake on wheels. - We wanted more insulation and light blocking than the curtain our Winnie came with, so based on a post here we bought some insulated curtains and a long curtain rod
The rod just sits in a nice slot on our cabover, so we haven't needed to do any mods or use a tension rod or anything. Then for driving we pit a hook on the wall behind the driver and use one of the tiebacks that came with the curtains. Works like a charm and is super quick for privacy on overnight stops.
We also have the Adco windshield cover that we put on for longer stays, especially where we have some direct sun. But we'd never mess with it for overnight. - We use Easy Curtain and love it.
- Is Easy Curtain out of business? Also, would anyone share their curtain rod/room darkening curtain pics? Love to see them set up. Thanks!
- I went to the .99cent store, bought a window shade for the sun (actually 2), cut 1 to fit the side windows and use 1 to cover the windshield. Takes all of a minute to install. I did put better suction cups in place to hold the things up.
Cant see in and out but is that not the purpose of the 'privacy' curtains?

Ours came with this privacy curtain that has a built in velcro strip that runs around the top of the cab under the overhead. Run your thumb once around the edge and its in place. A tug and it's down. Works great. Up or down in a couple of seconds. Perfect for quick stops also. We also have the Adco cover for the outside but seldom use it unless we are staying somewhere a few days and there's a great view out the windshield. The velcro strip for the inside curtain makes it so easy it's usually all we want. Our old B had velcro dots which were a pain sometimes getting things lined up.- We have a very nice insulated curtain that snaps on for our 2003 Winnie Class C. But I found a large accordion fold silver windshield cover for $1.50. There were also the popup oval window shades for $1.50 for two (end of summer clearance). I bought those too. It was worth a try. They fit perfectly in the driver and passenger side window. The visors hold the accordion fold cover in place.
This all works so simple and quick that I use it 90% of the time. These are quick to put up, to take down, and store right behind the drivers seat.
One time we needed more insulation, so we used the window covers and the insulated curtain. We could more easily maintain a comfortable temperature in the house.

2003 Minnie 29B - Our Gulfstream came with a lined curtain material and uses 2 gripper snaps.
