So I took the compressor out today. I was expecting to find a snapped belt (that connects the motor to the 2 cylinders). Nope. There are counterweights in compressor to which the connecting rods for the piston are attached. They were both stripped. Motor is turning, pistons aren't moving.
Hopefully Jet Co can still get me compressor parts. If not, I'm going to have to get a new compressor. One that size is not inexpensive. Kind of glad the mystery is solved, though.
