Because this unit is OUT of warranty by 7 years. Tiffin can fix it cheaper than paying a dealer to do it. Besides, Tiffin owes this customer nothing after 7 years. So, if you need Goodwill, go to the factory where they have the parts available. Doug
Just for the record I purchased this MH new around 2010 so no it's not out of warrantee 7 years. And Tiffin says directly the dealer won't do it right it has to come back to factory. I don't know where you came up with this cost thing. And at no point did I say Tiffin owed me anything or expect it. I posted asking if anyone has had this issue fix outside the factory on the west coast. Seems your goal is to attack anyone with Tiffin problems.
