help with external dish and R6 cable routing

Good Morning all,
I am in a location where I am forced to use an external dish to get a signal. I want to connect to the park cable connection but the black box of many buttons doesn't have a place for Sat in. I don't want to run the wire strait from the dish to the Sat receiver....how do folks get around the darn box and still have options for the rear tv.

The park cable connection is has a different OHM value and will even get hot if you use it because you are transmitting signals via Amperage to the antenna to tune it. You must have the same Coax from receiver to antenna to get it to work. Make sense?
Voltage is supplied to the LNBs but the amperage is low and will not cause the coax to heat up.

Most coax including some mixture of types and various lengths will work OK for some signals. I agree it's best to have the correct consistent coax and connectors, etc but not always necessary.
  • I climbed up on top to look at the black dome to see if I could just unhook its output cable and connect to dish using a butt connector. Well there are 3 connections RF1, RF2 and one in the middle not marked. Anyone know which one goes to the Sat receiver?
  • One cable should be different looking and is usually a control cable. Just unscrew RF!, attach the barrel connector and the cable and see if you get a signal. A lot of the domes had a second cable for a second receiver.
