A word of caution. I was parked in an RV park in Houston a few years ago, and had the same problem. I was able to crank it in. I had a respected and RV park recommended RV tech come to the park. He advised me I needed a whole new unit. I took it apart, applied grease where it looked appropriate, and it has worked fine since !
