One to check BEFORE ordering anything, do you have daytime running lights? If so do they use the main headlight? If so you can't use HID they will not like the lowered power that DRL provide.
Also a big contributor to poor light performance is bad adjustment, won't matter how bright the bulbs are if they are aimed at the tree tops or the street 209 feet in front of you.
