If you have the means, you could buy spare parts for just about anything that could possibly go wrong. Most of us have found that by buying and carrying a spare part, it is almost a guaranty that the original part will NEVER fail. :B
On a serious note, why not just take short trips and gradually expand your trip distance until you get comfortable with your rig?
