Hight winds

Hello all, this is our first trip in our Thor four winds , we had a wedding to go to in Wyoming so we left Oregon went through Idaho, Wyoming, Montana. Now we’re heading towards Seattle… The winds are terrible. We’ve never driven this before and the winds are so bad… Plus in our last RV spot we went to empty our black tank and the handle broke off so we’re heading into Pasco to get it fixed… I guess I’m asking a question how do people go through these winds like this? Should our windows on the passenger and driver side be up or down? I know it sounds like a crazy question but we’ve never been in motorhome before, probably a crazy trip to take for the first time..

  • since Grit didn't understand the question at all, it isn't a tornado, so just keep the windows up.  you don't want dirt and such blowen into the RV.  if you have max air vent covers you could open a couple vents, but you should have ac while driving so you don't have to worry about it getting to hot.

  • Well, I’d suggest reading the weather report rather than posting on here.
If you haven’t made it to the Tri cities yet, you haven’t even gotten to the big wind. It’s a red flag warning across most of Eastern WA today. Hot work ops are past hoot owl and at level IV.  60mph in Eburg.
Today be a good day to not show the world you’re an inexperienced driver and just keeper in town, rubber side down.
