Is there any mechanic any salesman/woman on here that has dealt with Holiday Rambler in the 80s? I am not trying to be a pain, but I see 5 replies to this and they are mine.I was hoping that someone would jump in and let me know. What circuits does this thing power? I can't find any info in the motorhome manual (which sucks ) and all I got with the Honeywell is a warranty card. I know that it senses load so there is no switch to turn it on. but what circuits would this power? It is wired into the motorhome. Please anyone have experience with this setup? I am sure it was an option HR offered. Thanks again.

I can't figure out what this thing powers. the plug that is plugged into it goes to a junction box on the fire wall. I don't see a switch on the dash to turn it on. I start the motorhome up and see if anything comes on like an A/C unit or the fridge,, nothing. The owner's manual for the Holiday Rambler is a piece of worthless nothinglness and doesn't say anything about this generator. Does anyone else on here have a motorhome with one of these motor/generators in their rig? please let me know. thanks so much

YES looks just like the redline the big one on the left. The box on top with two white outlets. Identical to that redline on the left. that is cool.

Hmm,, that must be what it is it is huge and I found in my manual book, a little insert just saying the model. No instruction manual. must been original equipment. I have been told that HR at that time was higher end. I don't know. lots of tubular frame under it. lots of square tube. Must be a decent motorhome. I love it. Now I got to see what it powers. and how it comes on. you're saying that it comes on when there is a current draw high enough? there is no switch to turn it on?

Redi-Line Electric Motor Inverter. 120VAC power output has a true sine wave, the output voltage/frequency vary with the load and are unregulated. You need a big battery bank to run it. You could use it to run your Bunn coffee maker in the morning. I have one and have been toying with the idea of installing it for just that purpose. Bluebirds use to run them. It uses a sense circuit and will not turn on unless there is a current draw high enough for it to recognize the need for the power. Honeywell use to make them. You will find them used in ambulances, aerial lifts, airport de-icing, contractors, farm, fire truck, marine, mining vehicles, service trucks/ vans, recreational vehicles (RVs) and utilities. Mine is 1600 watts and came out of a ambulance.

It looks like a motor generator. It has a red wire and black wire hooked to it. then the box on top has a 110v female plug on top. like you would find in your wall. I don't know. it is weird. It seems to put out 110V I don't know why it's there. I never seen one in my life. I have owned a vogue (I lost from storage fees) two superiors and this Holiday rambler, and I have three buses and never seen this thing before. I thought maybe for the jacks but that motor is in the house battery compartment.

could have been a winch, wheel chair lift ? etc..

might be a chair lift connection, with an aux outlet for plugging in and charging, the outlet would be powered by your genset or shore power

I don't know maybe. It is weird. It has heavy cables going to one side of it. then on top there is a box with two receptacles and one wire is plugged into it leads to a junction box. I don't know.. I never seen one of these before.
