Hot Water Heater
Hi, my hot water heater has a on/off switch on the back under the sink and there's also a switch and outlet beside the sink. I was just wondering what these switches do. Thanks, Ken

And for Effy: My water heater does indeed "heat hot water". When the water temperature drops to about 120 deg F, still pretty hot, it kicks on and heats it up to about 140 deg F. Doesn't yours do pretty much the same thing???

Not really, but those silly "hot water heater" comments seem to appear every time someone uses the term, and it really gets old after awhile. Especially when it detracts from giving the OP useful answers.
Obvious now - you don't have a sense of humor.
