Overhang and ground clearance are issues, but the beaches here tend to be flat, just that the sand is soft. Airing down to 15 psi and 4WD is a must. Departure and approach angles are somewhat important, but not like we are doing any serious off roading.
My recent look at Quigley indicates that they are ONLY converting new vehicles. No argument that they do the job right and preserve the chassis warranty, and there are other good options like Tiger and EarthRoamer as well.
I should have mentioned the budget....or lack thereof LOL....so $100k for an RV is a non-starter. I'd like to be in for less than $30k if possible. So I guess what I might be looking for is either a) a late 90's coach that I could DIY a 4WD conversion on or b) a mid-90's coach that somebody had converted by Quigley ( or other conversion shop) when it was new. This last option doesn't sound like it was very common at all so may not be an option at all.
