started camping the day I got my license. Hogan Dam.
got married 1972 , in 1981 bought a 1970 Winnebago 24'. 318 engine.
went everywhere, just not to fast.
kids still have nightmares, when starting up hill, wife would drive, I took off engine cover and adjusted distributor to stop pinging. 3500 miles every summer.
We had a Turbo Boost mode in our unit. my son would ride in my lap and the switch on dash "nothing connected to it, it just turned red when flip switch"
when going up hill, when I had to downshift to 1st, I would tell him to put on turbo boost and he would flip switch. rmps went high, he thought we were flying. all at 10mph
life was good
lived in 30"trailer in Airforce Biloxi Ms
45 yrs later have a 30 ft 5th wheel with slide moving up
