I come from a large family (8 kids), I am the youngest. I remember going on Sunday drives in the Family wagon to visit friends and relatives and the cemeteries of passed family members. we would stop along the road and have family picnics and visit a few swimming holes.
My father bought an acre of land in NJ and we would spend weekends camping in his work van and station wagon. Plans of building a home and developing the land.
Early sixties and things didn't work out like my dad planned, but we still weekend camped in the pine barons of NJ. I remember sleeping with my brother and sisters in my Dads Corvair Van!! We had such fun!!
We raised our girls (3) camping in tents, vans, and our PUP, when we bought out TT we were living in the lap of luxury!!
Now our kids are grown and are going to school and working full time. Wife,Dog and I Enjoy camping and enjoy our (quiet) time!! Glad we have shown our kids the joy of camping.
Careers are fore most now for them,, so we will keep the tradition alive!! Time will come when we are all back out there again!!
