Had never camped at all. In our mid 40's soon to be daughter in law said if we wanted to see future grand babies we would have to camp. They bought us an old army tent which we used only once and bought a used pop up which we used for 10 years but also had a permanent 33 ft trailer in a campground near son's home. We actually shared it with them for 10 years and got to see 2 grandkids a lot till they were 10 and 12. We both still used our pop ups for side trips. Then bought an '88 motor home in July - ordered a new '96 the next January. Still have it and we are back to camping instead of traveling. Irony is that right now we are the only ones out of our original group of 8 who are still camping. Told DDL the other day she created a monster with us and now we can' stop. She is hoping to get back to it when they retire in a few years.
