As a transit coach driver (starting at 66 years old!), I had to drive a 35' coach through downtown Everett rush-hour traffic on a regular basis. After a couple of runs, I found people in cars were intimidated by the size of my coach and I could push my way wherever I needed to go.
When I first started driving for the agency, my biggest drives had been U-Haul trucks. About 30 minutes with the agency's driving instructor and I was away by myself. It took longer to learn the routes than it did to drive a bus.
As Dale posted, you need to watch for height limitations, but if you stick to truck routes in cities, you won't have a problem. Tractor-trailer rigs are as tall as your RV.
