As a school bus driver everyday we drive 40' buses during rush hour in the heart of major cities. Make sure you keep a reasonable stopping distance, check those mirrors often and be patient.
We have a 32' motorhome with 3 slides that we have had no challenges with traffic or campsites. Have driven it in both AM and PM rush hour traffic in the twin cities without any issues, though we are not in a hurry.
Certainly not a big deal. Semis often 53' in length do it all the time. With the right can do attitude its no big deal.
Good luck with it. BTW we had a 19' truck with a 31' trailer that I hated driving, the motorhome is much easier and a joy to drive.
