How difficult is 27' motorhome to drive in city traffic?

Currently we have a 33' TT towed by a Ford Excursion. We are looking for something that is easier to get ready to go without all the hitching. Further, I would like a motorhome that I could operate ...

As a retired firefighter I look at roads and locations as if I needed to get there in a fire truck. My 36' motorhome has been on a few roads that were not such a good idea but made it through without any problems. As always plan ahead.
