Have driven a 38 foot in city traffic on and off for many years.. For several years it was not only my "House" but it was my "Car" as well (leading me to say I'm homeless.. I sleep in my car,, all 38 feet of it) Got a towed 2 years ago.
Driving.. once you are used to driving the larger (six inches wider than anything else allowed on road w/o oversize flags save a flat bed tow truck) it's no harder than driving a car.. Parking however takes a bit more care.. For example at the Supermarket I'd park out quite a ways and take a much longer hike than I do with my car.
