We used to live in the northeast before moving to Florida. I definitely agree with what others have said. We always try to travel on dry roads, and heavy snows have caused us a little grief on the windshield.
A typical motorhome handles much like a front wheel drive car in the snow. The majority of the weight is over the drive wheels, in this case, the rear wheels of the motorhome. The only thing is that when a 3-4000 pound car slides it is one thing, no where near as frightening as if a 30,000 pound motorhome starts to slide!!!! (which is why we normally try to drive on dry roads!!)
