Thanks everyone for your replies. So much valuable information. I feel better now that I heard from folks with experience driving in heavy snow with their rv's.
We both love snow sports and enjoy being out in it. We also love the mountains. So, at this point I won't worry about it anymore. We aren't foolish so I doubt we will do much driving in white out conditions anyway. We will be fully stocked so a few days sitting in a parking lot or something waiting on the roads to improve will just be part of the adventure to us.
