Hi Barb,
We were born and raised in Rochester so are very used to snow driving. We AVOID it in the coach especially as we have a car in tow which adds yet another variable. Having said that we have driven through storms around Erie and lived to tell the tale. Everyone else seemed to be competent snow drivers, mostly truckers, and we could stay between them and just motor along slowly.
We got caught in a bad snow storm - 12 inches - in Nashville many years ago. That was terrifying as they haven't a clue. Watched them let air out of the tires to "get better traction" watched them slip and slide all around us, spin the tires faster to get up the grade, you name it. We pulled off into an overlook on the Natchez Trace to ride it out once we got there, 37 miles in 5 hours! It makes for a great story around the campfire, but I don't wish to do it again. The coach handled just fine, walked up grades that the locals couldn't climb in their cars and never showed any indication of sliding.
