Thanks everyone for your replies. So much valuable information. I feel better now that I heard from folks with experience driving in heavy snow with their rv's.
We both love snow sports and enjoy being out in it. We also love the mountains. So, at this point I won't worry about it anymore. We aren't foolish so I doubt we will do much driving in white out conditions anyway. We will be fully stocked so a few days sitting in a parking lot or something waiting on the roads to improve will just be part of the adventure to us.
For the house itself, try to keep the fresh water tank full to prevent it freezing. We also use a 100 watt incandescent bulb in the wet compartment to keep the water pump from freezing.
Only hook up to shore water and sewer to fill your fresh tank and empty your waste tanks.
An electric blanket is nice on those cold nights and will save on propane. We also use plug in electric heaters and our heat pump to keep things comfortable.
We have stayed in -15 degree temps without any problems and the sparse crowds make it all worthwhile.
We stayed in the Grand Canyon Trailer Village campground inside the park in January and we were one of FIVE rigs in a park designed to handle 80 motor homes. The deer just wandered through the park and it was so quiet and serene. NICE!!!!!!
