How do you deal with trash?

Do you have a trash can that you put... Where?

Do you hang a bag somewhere?

I thought I had it bad finding a place for a small can in our trailer.

Can't figure this one out and am hoping there might be a few good suggestions. We have a Roadtrek 170.

  • First thing is to produce less trash. Food packaged in pouches instead of cans or whatever.

I hang a plastic trash bag on the toilet paper holder.

I had planned that I would gather up a bag of trash from the wild every day as my good deed to the world or something. Even bought one of those picker-upper tools. Quit after only a few days when I realized that I had no place to put the trash.

And no, I never burn my trash.
  • I think some of the people replying didn't realize this was a question on the Class B section of the forum. Or maybe have never seen the inside of a B - space is extremely tight. I've never seen a bathtub in a Class B where you could stow trash.:)

Our LTV Free Spirit had a coated wire grocery bag-frame screwed onto the inside of the below-sink cabinet door. It was handy and did not interfere with the contents stowed under there. Of course, it only held as much as a grocery sack holds so we took out the trash every day.
  • Are you referring to "trailer trash"? LOL
Seriously, we just keep a kitchen size wastebasket under the sink with a bag in it.
  • in a small bucket that fits under kitchen sink, and lots of plastic bags from grocery store. I also hang a large plastic bag on a cabinet knob and use it to collect empty aluminum cans.
