Guys ... I'm sorry to have to make this update: What the OP experienced and what I thought that my Dino board had permanently fixed DID NOT DO IT ... as it first appeared.
Just today, during a cold last night the furnace would NOT LIGHT unless tried several times ... so the new board did not fix anything other than providing me with a spare OEM board to carry along in case the Dino board should ever really be a problem!
Around two hours ago I scheduled an appointment with my RV repair shop (I refuse to get into the guts of a gas furnace) to make my 12 year old furnace ultra-reliable again using a just-in-case shotgun approach by:
1. Replacing the furnace's gas control solenoid valve.
2. Replacing the furnace's igniter.
3. Cleaning or replacing the furnace's gas jet.
4. And while they're in there - replacing the sail switch.
Our days of sleeping in cold conditions were gone long ago. We MUST HAVE an RV furnace that lights by itself all the time every time to keep the RV's interior toasty warm at all times.
I apologize for being the bearer of possible disappointing news - and I hope I didn't cause someone to unnecessarily buy a furnace control board that may not have been needed.
