I don't recall ever seeing a minimum speed any higher that 45. Sorry, I don't think it's ever "common sense" to drive a 12000 lb. vehicle towing a 2700 lb. car at 70 MPH. And I don't think semis should be going anywhere near 70 either. Takes too long to stop and they don't swerve to avoid something very well. I don't think speed per se causes accidents but if you suddenly round a curve and find a moose in the road even if you are paying close attention, would you rather be going 70 or 58?
