With a detroit and a three speed tranny like the V730 the sweet spot with a 4.11 is around 65 I get great mileage for a 15 ton vehicle and when you go slower it is relaxing everyone passes you and don't have to get into a car race with trucks and all that****** When I get my avco running I will see what it does it has a 440 hooked up to a 757 transmission so I am sure it is direct drive and it is old and not like the new stuff that's out there today so I am sure that it will be very happy at 55/60. I would like to install and overdrive kit on it. the slower you go the less stress there is on the engine and all that. If I want to go fast i would get a corvette . Motorhomes,buses and trucks need to go slower. Bus drivers are insane!!!!!!
