Yesterday I was driving on 495N in Mass. I was doing 75 when I was passed by a 45 tag axel Prevost pulling a full sized SUV. They were from New Mexico and they were trucking right along doing at least 80. The funny thing is that when it passed me it sounded like it was barely running past an idle. What power!!
She was a thing of beauty.
Having spent time behind the wheel of a million dollar Prevost, there is no comparison to them and a normal DP. The Prevost is a real DP and all of the others are just Prevost wannabes. :B
That may be true I can't speak for the rest of us but I thank God for what I do have and I have three buses and one vintage Dodge AVCO that I love and my bus is built just as good as a prevost if not better as it is SOLID stainless steel and I have seen a Prevost in a wreck and they smash up just as spectacular as a normal RV I hate rich people they think that they are so much better cause they live large. Personally I would take an RTS bus with highway gearing (what I have) than a prevost or MCI or Vanhool. Just my opinion.
I would own a Prevost or Newell if I could. Not sure why some folks get their knickers in a twist because some have more money than others. I would never begrudge another person for having wealth. To do so undermines the very fabric of American capitalism. Do you want equal share? That version of socialism and Marxism doesn't really work. Talk about breeding contempt. Sure some folks get it handed to them, but most people with money worked their tails off and made a lot of sacrifices to get what they have. I think the smaller lot of over privileged sort of dilute the spectrum. Being in the banking industry, most folks I ever met that had wealth worked very hard and usually had a good deal of stress to go with it. It ain't all sipping champagne and tooling around in Prevosts. And if they have the money to spend on a Prevost - good for them. Really don't get the resentment of the have-nots. Choices. It's all about choices.
I have no problem that someone owns a Prevost or a tent as I stated I was in Carlyle at the lake and this family had a smaller bumper pull having a blast not in a prevost but in a bumper pull. Now I have worked my ass off as hard as any rich man yet it takes me a long time to get funds for parts to fix what I have. and I am quite tired of it. and I hate all systems in this world capitalism is the best by miles out of a poor lot. I am a musician and quite accomplished yet I see people that suck making it and I get to play in bars and jam sessions and now today I am 45 and basically where I was when I was 25. It is choices but also luck has something to do with it also I think God has his pets and he has everyone else like me. Also it isn't the rich man's fault that I get to eat table scraps in life. It's my fault and it's fate's fault. I don't think anyone is entitled to anything but at the same time as a believer I feel that the rich should be more charitable. What bugs me the most is that rich people seem to not give a rat's ass about the poor person they pass in their prevost. I thank God I have the mind to figure out how to have a bus without being a millionaire. So yes capitalism is the only way until the end of this age. I honestly don't care who has a prevost. I am glad for them.
