My Mountain Aire has dual pane windows but the other big factor is the fact that it has R12 & R16 insulation in roof, walls and floors. Newmar seems to be in a minority by posting their R values.
Newmars do have better insulation. The heat and noise is better in the Newmars as most heat and noise comes through ceiling, walls, windshield not the windows as they do not have enough area to be that significant.
If you ever lived in an apartment you would realize plenty of noise comes through walls not just the windows.
The competition has taken care of the heat issue by installing 2 AC units to compensate for newmars better insulation. Newmars are still quieter though so others need fans or white noise sound machines in loud noise areas.
BTW, my new MH has dual pane windows. I have had both and dual panes just are of marginal value in a MH especially when you consider repairs needed.
I still must admit if you camp up north when freezing some may not like the condensation of single pane windows. I just figure it is just a signal to head south. :B
