We just took a two-week trip to a state park across the FL panhandle from home. 315 miles each way. About 225 of that was on the interstate where we ran about 62MPH. Secondary four-lanes for most of the rest along with about 15 in-town miles. A rest stop and a fuel stop each way. We had a setup/tear down, check in/out at one end of the trip each way. That was Enough. We can do twice that and a little more in a car. RV runs slower, and requires much more attention to make (or avoid!) lane changes, doesn't go as far on a tank of gas and fuel stops take longer. I'm not saying it can't be done in an RV, but this is supposed to be relaxing fun.
