How long do you drive in a day?
As little as possible - hopefully no more that 250 miles. However we already live kindof "out West", so long driving distances are usually not required in order to arrive in spectacular camping country.
I did drive our RV once for over 700 miles in one day - that was on a rush trip from a large family function in California to a scheduled volunteer project in Kentucky - never again (the 700 miles in one day part, that is).
I'm in this camp too-If I'm not traveling with friends I usually keep it under 250 miles. Many times if I'm somewhere scenic, I'll stop for the night every 50-100 miles. With numerous sightseeing stops in between. If I really need to make some distance to visit someplace far away, I may ratchet it up to 300 400 mile days. But that isn't my preferred mode of travel. When I worked I had a much faster paced life.
