I had run across a post indicating that some CAT C-7 engines had a HEUI pump problem resulting in debris in the fuel injectors, etc. resulting in thousands of dollars in engine damage. Also some issues to do with failure of a sealed fan bearing resulting in radiator damage.
So I called Freightliner to see what engine this Kountry Star has in it and they informed that it is the 3126E engine. Then I searched for any potential problems with the 3126 and found various posts on diesel engine forums saying that these engines are prone to failure more often than other big name brands of diesels.
I'm just being cautious before I lay out my money. In the end i hope to go ahead and buy this motor home.
