- ronfishermanModeratorI had a 4 corner weigh done several years ago. Found out I was overweight with a full tank of fresh water. I never carry more that 1/2 tank since.
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
I did. The end result was I purchased new wheels that gave me a wider, taller tire with more capacity at the tire. - ReadyToGoExplorerI have weighed all four RV's I have owned.
Fortunately we were under weight on each. Great piece of mind for us. - kkigerExplorerI weigh mine. My first camper was a Jayco 5th wheel. I weighed it loaded, weighed my truck and weighed both together. Now with the Itasca, did the same, weighed it, Jeep and together. I was/am just under max weight limits. Just wanted the information to see where I stood.
- mikeleblanc413ExplorerHad a 34ft Jayco Designer...never weighed...looking back, I am quite sure I was overweight. With my 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie, weighed it empty when I bought it, loaded for first trip and have just returned from 4 months travelling the Midwest with a circus and found out all I don't need. I'll be "dumping" and reweighing shortly. I'm now playing a game with myself to see how low in weight I can go and not miss anything. As someone said above, "...great peace of mind".
- notevenExplorer IIIYup. (Trailer / camper / etc )
- Mich_FExplorerI never bothered to weigh my pop up or travel trailer. I did weigh my first Class C. I weighed a slide in camper also - :E. My second class C came from the factory with weights for all 4 corners, which I assumed was right. I weighed my 3rd class C and was pleasantly surprised that fully loaded, including my wife and I, there was still over 2,500# CCC remaining. I didn't get the corner weights, but I'm assuming they're OK.
- Shadow_CatcherExplorerThe local stone quarry will allow you to use their scale free, I did. This informed me of which replacement tires (I replaced the china bombs) I could use.
- Cobra21ExplorerI haven't because mine sits right, drives and handles good, and I don't tow
anything heavy. If I were to live in it and really load it up with stuff
I would want to know where I'm at.
Brian - IAMICHABODExplorer IIHave weighed all of my rigs, just can't take the trucker out of the RVer:B
