Thought about using solar when we buy our RV. I have not seen to many used RV for sale that have any solar on them. Is this because they are removed before selling, no one using them, or they just cos...

We don't have solar on the new coach. We do have 3 Lithium Ion Phosphate batteries as our house batteries. They run the 24 volt house system.
I would imagine that these 3 Li batteries replace 8-10 AGM's. So, the weight savings is tremendous. Also, Li batteries are expected to last 10 yrs. and can be rebuilt vs. replaced saving additional money.
Ours are set to go into 'safe' mode at 30%. Don't ask me how I know... LOL! They charge very quickly and don't run hot. Our monitoring system shows that the temp runs about whatever the outside temp is showing. They are in a vented area along with the four inverters and have three small fans running all the time to keep that area 'vented'.
