Both our pumps were declared DOA while trying to get our smog certificate. Cost about twice that with the pumps, carb work and smog check. Of course as JRandall noted we had better than half a tank, about fifty gallons.
Of course the shop replaced the engine pump first and then realized there was a regulator in the line back by the tank, which led them to figure, extra large tank in rear, with rail extentions and a Holley pressure/flow regulator meant in tank pump which they swear wasn't in the standard tanks on 1989 Chevy P32 chassis.
