With a CCC of less than 2,000 lbs NO YOU CANNOT. 500 for the cycle plus 200 for a rack is going to put over 1,000 lbs on your rear axle.
Wow. By the time you add people, water, and options, I'd be surprised if you could carry dinner.
I will be drilling holes in coffee cups and soup bowls to lighten things up. :-)
CCC = 2545. But, I imagine that CCC is based on having eight average people in the RV. We're a family of four (two little kids) so instead of CCC based on the average weight of eight adults at (8 x 150 = 1200 lbs) we would be just under 500 lbs. That gives me an extra 700 lbs to play with... making CCC for us 2545+700 = 3245.
So, I believe that I have the CCC. The tongue max is 500 lbs. But, given feedback I am beginning to question whether that 500 lbs of tongue weight is more like only 100 or 200 lbs before handling becomes a problem.
Anyone ever actually put that much weight on similar rig? Your experience?
