We don't use it a lot, but so far, when we needed it, I was really, really glad it was there:
For instance: When the wind died while we were camping on Ocracoke Island by the dunes in the NPS CG. Bugs, including tiny biting ones that could get through the screens. Sweltering heat and humidity by about 9 a.m. So we closed up the widows, turned it on, cranked up the AC and enjoyed another cup of coffee.
When we were stopping for lunch near Arches NP parked by the Colorado River on a 110 degree day.
When we were at the Alb. Balloon Fiesta in rally-style pavement sites and wanted to have working outlets so we could charge up the cell phones, iPad, camera batteries.
Other examples abound.
Like others, we run it on a full load about once a month out in the driveway.
