4000 and up Onan generators are actually quieter than the 2800/2500models. i have no idea why but onan 4000 66 db 2800 70db
generators in bigger rv's have better compartments.

That's a rather narrow view to take. You either need the power or you don't. If you need the power get it if not don't. The generator creates noise and requires maintenance doesn't matter if is a Tent, TT, FW, Class B/C, or Class A. Your choice not depended on the RV type vehicle. BTW portables are a bigger hassle than built ins.
