Wouln't buy any rig without a generator. If you want to heat something in the microwave at a rest stop, make coffe or popcorn at the park, or run your TV to get local weather information, or run your air conditioner you'll be glad you have a generator. They do need to be run frequently, with a load, to stay easy to start and run properly.
